SixtyToo Bar

Without doubt the favourite bar of many pretty young things in Horsforth. SixtyToo Bar has a lot to offer and with fabulously stylish decor and great cocktails you could be forgiven for assuming you're in the city centre not the suburbs.

The Venue
The look of this bar is quite simply fabulous. Every last detail within the walls of this fantastically chic bar oozes trendy sophistication even down to the all-chrome draught pumps. Walking in from Horsforth Town Street you'll be impressed that a bar like this could exist in such quaint surroundings. Even from the outside it sets itself apart from the glut of bland, tired shop fronts with an edgy, contemporary look.

The L-shaped bar wraps around an extensive selection of spirits. With the emphasis on red, white and black leather the decor is dramatic and plush.

The People
With highly trained, personable staff there's a pleasant drinking atmosphere in SixtyToo Bar. Fresh faced drinkers as well as the early thirties crowd congregate here and it gets busy on their monthly music nights. Those who look for a bit more class on a local night out tend to stay loyal and opt for long evenings here rather than venturing into the vast confusion that Leeds can be.

The Drink
Within the cocktail menu is an array of gorgeous concoctions that never disappoint. Most are classics and range from £4 to £6. There's also a collection of speciality lagers on draught and in the fridges. Of course there's also a choice of fine wines and Champagne which is exactly what you'd expect in such surroundings. However Thursday nights are definitely not to be missed with two for one on all cocktails. They don't serve food but their sister venue, Bar 166 at the top of Town Street, does and it's bistro style.

The Last Word
SixtyToo Bar provides a welcome change from the many bog standard pubs that make up the otherwise very dull Horsforth boozing circuit. Definitely worth a visit.
