Came here with my partner and I ordered the bbq chicken. My food was completely cold so it got sent back to be warmed, came back out and the chips were still cold- was told that the chicken was checked with a thermometer to make sure it was hot but he took it back again anyway. When my food came out again, yes the chips were hot but now soggy, and by this time the chicken was completely dried out so I couldnt eat most of it.
You'd think the chef/cook would have a dealt with it abit better seeing as it had to be sent back a second time.
However, the guy who was serving us was great- genuinely nice and apologetic, so felt quite bad with having to repeatedly call him back.
Wont be going back there again.
I had my first, and only, visit to this pub not 2 months ago. My friend's burgers were grey, as were the steaks and had a texture of wet cardboard. I ordered a BBQ chicken burger that came with a minimal amount of BBQ sauce and when I asked for more on the burger they charged me 99p for another portion. My starter came cold and had to be sent back to be warmed up as did another's. All in all and abysmal place to eat. The drinks weren't badly priced though. Also, very rude waiting staff. When the food was complained about the waitresses did not seem to care and did not offer an apology.
