I used to love the Wrens, great selection of beer and a good, old-fashioned interior, can’t go wrong with that. Last time I went in was on a Saturday, and the staff were really rude. I got the feeling they preferred sticking to their locals/regulars than new(er)comers. We were greeted with silence and shakes of the head when asked if they were still serving, then told us they were as we heading out the door. When I joked we should have just left, the older barman said “there’s the door, **** off then”, and made stupid sounds after everything I said after that - great customer service! He was abusive and arrogant and took the p*ss for NO REASON! Won’t be going here again, annoying as I always liked it before, but some of the staff are clearly idiots and don’t care about retaining punters.
