Absolutely excellent pub. Went to Town Hall Tavern for dinner last night with a few friends after searching the net for a new place to eat and will definitely be back again. Although it is listed as pub food this isn't chicken wings and re-heated burgers. I had a Plate of Yorkshire Pork which, even though I'm not a "foodie" has inpired me to leave this review. Really excellent food and not expensive - mine was about £12. They seem to source Yorkshire produce too, and put interesting and original twists on their menu (which can be viewed on their website). The place has a nice atmosphere and good music - I remember hearing Iron and Wine and a bit of Dylan in the background. The service was top rate without being obsequious. My only criticism would be that the range of beer wasn't wide - they only had three ale pumps for three different Tim Taylors. They still get 5 stars from me though as they clearly look after those three pumps as the beer was excellent too!

Wow What a stunning venue this is since its refurb, I stood out side this place waiting for the bus for years and never gone in cause it was such a old mans grey suit drinking joint. since it re - opened in may 2011 I have never stopped and missed so many bus cause I get chatting with landlord over the finer points in life, so refreshing to see good banter without the usual Language you here in most Leeds Bars. Anyways that the beer no time to get to the reason I decide to post, the food. I was a bit not sure as never heard good things about the food here before it got done out. so after a looking at the menu and doing a bit of digging in to the head chef Anton Scoones I found out the true calibre back ground he comes from rosettes and stars all through his career by the looks of what I found. To be honest it was still even better than i good of imagined. The Ham knuckle and chicken pie topped with home made stuffing truely blew me away never seen food so Yorkshire done so well in the city centre. I even sneaked a pudding of Bread and Butter, wow this was a real treat and filled me right up, probably should not have eaten it all but I could not help my self it was so good. I think the best bit of the meal was getting the two amazing course off there full menu for only £14 can not believe they dont charge more as this is far better than the prices suggest. I suspect im going to need a bigger belt and the timetable for the late bus as i carnt keep away at moment.
