The Venue
Mirrored walls, marble flooring and soft velvet seating set the tone for this sophisticated bar in the heart of Chapel Allerton. From the Arabian-style drapes and the rich dark wood, everything about the decor screams 'opulent'.

A relatively small bar, Veuve Bar de Champagne never feels particularly cramped or claustraphobic as the mirrored panels lend themselves to the general feeling of space.

The People
The bar attracts a stylish crowd who like to enjoy the good things in life. There's a nice hum of friendly conversation and the staff welcome patrons with a smile. This is a great environment for an after work drink or conversation among friends at the weekend there's no shouting to be heard here.

The Food and Drink
The husband and wife team behind the Casa Mia restaurant group (and who now own Veuve Bar de Champagne) have created an excellent food and drinks menu which is both reasonably priced and high quality.

Champagne is served by the glass or bottle and starts from just 4.95 for a glass of P.Louis Martin Grand Cru and 3.95 for a plate of delicious homemade crostini with creamy buffalo mozzerella, fresh basil and rock salt.

The cocktails are also very high quality. You can choose from concoctions such as Kir Royale, Bellini, Apple Mojito, Strawberry Salad and Nutty Nashville. However, it is a champagne bar, so it would almost be rude not to sample the bubbles! Choose from over 50 varieties of champagne.

Nibbles here are also of a high standard, try the sweet strawberries with sharp balsamic dressing for something different or a simple bowl of olives with fried capers and chilli. Those who don't like champagne can try one of the many ice-cold beers or a refreshing glass of wine.

Veuve Bar de Champagne is a real gem in the heart of Chapel Allerton. The food and drinks are great and the atmosphere is relaxed and sophisticated, what more can you ask for?
