**Update**
I got an email back from Groupon saying they will refund the money within 7 days - nothing about the scam and no response as to why they were selling the Groupon 3 weeks after the doors closed?
I suggest anyone who bought one (And I think there were over 350 sold) request your refund - Why should they make a minimum of £3150 out of us!
Restaurant closed before Christmas. No longer trading. I went there today at 17:00 and a guy was locking the door on his way out. I asked him what the crack was and he claimed he was an estate agent who had just shown someone round. He confirmed it was no longer trading as a restaurant. I asked him if he knew anything about the Groupon scam and he just replied that he knew nothing as he was just showing prospective buyers around. Small Asian guy who looked slightly startled. Possibly the guy who has scammed us. Wish I'd had a camera phone, but he was off pretty quick anyway.
Same scenario, we turned up on sunday with our groupon voucher but sadly it was closed and the phone hasn't been answered since. The business owners next door reckon the doors haven't been open since Christmas !!
Money back please groupon.
Bought a Groupon for this place - Tried calling for 3 days to book with no answer on either telephone number. Also sent 2 emails with no response. Turned up Wednesday 19/01/12 and it was closed - you could hear the phones ringing inside constantly! Maybe done a runner?
