never in my life have I been so disgusted whilst dinning out. Over priced extremely, and portions far too small. The staff not very clear about explaining the menu. Not one seemed to know what other was doing. All the food came at diff times.MUCH BETTER AS A BUFFET spoilt it now its changed and I WILL NOT GO AGAIN.Increased prices and smaller portions much smaller is not the way to go. And your not allowed to bring any food home you leave WHY and r now charged 4 any wasted food.

Been using this restaurant for some years now, and I have never had a bad meal there. It must be difficult to maintain high standards, particularly at quieter times thru the day etc, when food is stood and being constantly heated, but never have we been let down.

The daytime cheaper menu is less extensive than the evening selection, but both are great value for money.

Car parking is free and right outside too, so need to worry if the car radio will be there on your return.

The Proprietor Chung is in the process of extending the restaurant in 2112 and will be introducing an "a la carte" menu as-well as the super buffet.

Our party of 20 had a really good time at this restaurant. Prices were reasonable and we ate till our bellies were full. Knowing that we would be a bit rowdy, they gave us our own corner away from the main dining area so we weren't disturbing others. They were very flexible in accommodating our needs.

Gone down hill

The prices have gone up since the last visit but the quality has gone down; the food tasted like it had been standing for hours, but perhaps our own fault for going after 7 pm

Drinks not overpriced

Place was a bit drab, light bulbs out, really dirty ceiling, tables and chairs on the basic side - felt like a school canteen more than a restaurant.

Service was fine, toilets clean (enough) but 1 sink was missing a tap. Limited parking.

This could have been a real winner, and still could be, but the owners have taken their eye off the ball

For the same money we could have eaten a al carte - quite disappointing really

Been eating here for many years, when it was 28/28 then Academy & now The Crown.

We've always found that it is great value always plenty of choice & my kids love it especially my son who loves to go pick all his own ingredients then watch it been cooked.

It gets our thumbs up!

Crown Buffet ( used to be called 28 28 chinese academy) Gower street Leeds.Arrived at 8.30pm , the restaurant was`t supposed to close until 11pm.

Starters were scrappy and lacking in choice. My main meal which was freshly cooked from the Mongolian buffet was nice but despite asking I was unable to have any boiled rice.

Chicken curry ( the only thing that the kids like) was also missing. The main reason for taking the kids there was because of the ice cream machine, but it was dismantled for cleaning by 9.30.

Staff annoyingly mopped the floor under our feet as we ate with the aroma of bleach permeating our food.

My concerns to the manager were met with contempt and no apology was offered. The bill for 2 adults and 2 children was over £50
