Dyneley Arms

Went for evening meal got drinks found a table went to order got told no food after 8pm it was 8-03 menus were still out , no leeway or help from the landlord who was red faced and drunk and the young girl behind the bar stunk of smoke and bo , not a place to go , Sam smiths need to get this place sorted .

Went for lunch just before 2pm, bought drinks then tried to order two meals. With great delight the bartender pointed to the board and said,no food after 2pm! I said it was just 2pm and he said it was five past by his clock. No customer service, no leeway, no help at all, so disgusted we left our drinks and went to The White Hart where they welcome customers and had a great meal. We will never go back to Dyneley Arms, and by the look of the empty rooms, we are not alone.

What a fantastic pub! We stopped off for a quick pint on the way home after a day out with our children, and it was so inviting and cosy we stayed for food and a few more drinks. The interior of the pub is very nice with the coal fires making the atmosphere really cosy and relaxing, with no background music making it an ideal place for a good pint and a chat. There is not a huge selection of drinks but what they offer (mostly Samuel Smiths) is very, very good and at a very good price (£1.58 for a pint of ale). All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was good and more than adequate for the price, most meals were between £5 and £9. The only downside was that there is a surcharge of about 1.5% for using credit/debit cards and the food service finishes early. Really worth a visit, a truely unique place, and one that I will be visiting again and again.
