Jakes Bar is fantastic. Its conveniently located on lower briggate, so next to the other cool bars, making it perfect for a pub crawl without having to walk miles to the nearest decent bar. The atmosphere is brilliant and variety of drinks amazing. You can get some unbeleivable coctails here and well worth a visit!

Celebrating a birthday ended in tears as a small female only 5ft 1 I am not one to come across as aggressive or intimidating but was told by the bouncer that if I did not move off of the public pavement I would be removed in an extremely aggressive manner. I was shocked and intimidated and a long story short my 21st ended in tears after questioning why and a threat of calling the police was made.

Jake's Bar & Grill is by far one of the best bars in Leeds. My friends and I have always been a fan of Jake's but we love it even more after discovering their brand spankin' new food and cocktail menu.

We visited Jake's Bar last Friday after work and ended up 'pigging out for a fiver'. I ordered burnt ends in a BBQ sauce which came with home made coleslaw and a salad. The dish was beautiful and the beef was perfect, all for £5.00!

My friends ordered the crispy duck and pecan salad that had an amazing Southern Comfort and peach dressing for £4.95 whilst the others shared a huge platter that cost less than a tenner; BBQ pork ribs, crispy wings, cheese filled jalapenos, cheesy nachos, the works! The quality of food was excellent and the prices even better.

We had a fantastic night and washed down our meals with many cocktails. I recommend the Raspberry Marciano if you're a vodka drinker like myself. My friend loves the luminous drinks when it comes to cocktails and ordered the June Bug, which was made with coconut rum, melon and banana liqueur, pineapple and lime juice. Delicious!

A fantastic night out with great food, drinks and service. Not forgetting the music - best music on Call Lane! Jake's Bar & Grill is a must when visiting Leeds.

What a waste of a great bar...that was.

If my business employed the aggressive, threatening aresy staff that the owner of Jake's Bar obviously does then I would have closed down long time ago.

They spend more time talking to their drunk aggressive pals at the bar than doing what they get paid for...serving the customers.

But enough about the letdown when your inside...the real challenge is getting in there with their ever changing door policy...

mmm today were not letting anybody in...errm with eyes, yes or legs no eyes no legs tonight sorry...WHAT ARE THESE BLOKE ON?

so AVOID like the swine flu...there are BETTER BARS....Leave this place to the crowd it deserves...its own staff!!!
