I recently spent my hard earned cash at the Lawnswood Arms and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst my wife opted for a cautious lasagna I decided to sample the mixed grill. In my opinion the benchmark of a good eatery. I would definitely recommend this and will be returning to have it again. I am extremely fortunate to eat out once or twice a week so would consider my palate to be reliable. If you have room after eating I would also recommend a session in the adjoining Wackey Warehouse. If you manage to finish the mixed grill, you receive a complimentary 30 minute play!

Well my husband and I fancied some light lunch out whilst enjoying our toddler been in nursery and what a massive disappointment. My husband has actually eaten but i have arrived back home having had no lunch. I ordered a prawn baguette which came as a king prawn baguette. Although i like prawns i am not into king prawns. When asked the waitress she informed me that there were only king prawns available. I asked for the scampi and chips instead. My husband had finished his lunch when 4 pieces of scampi came out with some wrinkled chips. I asked another waiter whether it was normal to get only 4 pieces of scampi, to which he replied that there should be 8! I gave in at this point and asked for my money back. The waiter apologised and was very genuine but not great when there is so much competition out there. Never again, save your money!
