I called up the blagclub to organise a friday night office drinks party! / belated bday celebration and within 15 minutes had my call answered and managed to reserve an area and have a guestlist for 40 guests all sorted out with an email confirming everything! all the other venues I got answerphones. These guys were so helpful and welcomed us when we got there. It's a cool funky little venue and very intimate which was ideal for my crowd :), also they had a couple of other parties going on at the same time and by the end of the night we had all merged and it turned into one big house party! great night just remember to ask for singles as I didn't and hence had quite a headache on saturday afternoon. Thanks so much guys see you soon.

I was at this bar last weekend with my girlfriends and really enjoyed myself. Good fun party music is always a must!
I thought the drinks were really well priced actually - £6 for a double G&T; in Notting Hill has won me over.
Well done and see you soon.

You paid £6 for a double GT? That's funny because my mate had to pay £12 for a double JD and Coke, so dunno what's going on there.Went there once and well, I guess most of the staff were quite friendly, the music was a bit hit and miss, mostly older people there I'd say, the room was way too stuffy and smokey (this was before the smoking ban came in), and then of course the drink prices just killed it. How can you have the audacity to charge someone £12 for a double JD and Coke, TWELVE QUID?! That's disgusting, and it's not even like it's a great club! It looks like a really large bedroom, and there's only one floor. I still can't get over that to this day, just shocking! And it's the reason why I'll never go there again, you're better off going to the other Blag clubs. Oh yeah, and I remember a poor woman taking one fat DROP down the narrow stairs, I felt for her boy. So there's also a health and safety issue there as well, haha! Remember people have to walk up and down those stairs most likely under the influence of alcohol. Hopefully they have stopped being so damn greedy and and drinks are a reasonable price now. - Report

I helped organise a friends engagement party at this blag club. The intimate setting was perfect for this kind of party. I didn't want to go to a large club with loud music, I wanted a place where we could talk amongst ourselves and have a bit of a boogie too. We ended up taking up most of the club and It was pretty much like a private party!

The staff were great and the club allowed me to organise special cocktails, which went down really well with all our guests.

On behalf of both me and Jessica Thank you everyone @ blag for making the night a success.

I had my birthday party here last Saturday and had a fantastic time. After being ignored for 3 days by Trailer Happiness (my original choice) they finally got back to me to say they were fully booked. Blag on the other hand were incredibly helpful. They reserved me an excellent area and made sure I knew what time my guests had to arrive to get in for free. The manager introduced himself straight away on the night and told me to let him know if I had any problems, later on he helped get my sister in without waiting. The venue is small but holds a deceptively large number of people and the music was really varied which pleased everyone in my group. One thing I will say though is to make sure you specify if you want a single measure because I failed to spot the sign behind the bar and got stung! Overall though, it was superb.

I recently had my birthday party here and all I can say is this place rocks! After trying to book 4 other places which were either shut or wouldnt answer emails/phonecalls, Blagclub was a refreshing change! They made everything very easy, we had a great spot reserved and everyone had a wicked night. Cant recommend this place enough!

Organised a guest list for a friends' birthday and everything went smoothly - There was some queuing, but to be expected with any popular London club. It was the perfect place, where everyone is friendly and its easy to meet new people.
Was a brilliant night!!

Have to agree with Asdegan, below. Organised a guest list for my birthday, to find that they had overbooked the venue and most of my friends had to wait outside for 45mins plus, despite arriving "on time" at before 9. Manager impossible to contact. Not what you want on your birthday. Shame, as the barstaff and venue are great and we go there often - just don't rely on them if you are organising an event I guess.

I went down on saturday and really enjoyed the club. One thing that must be mentioned was the ease of getting there and then getting home afterwards - Right next to the tube and then there was the night bus home.
A proper funky bar in Notting Hill -
Recommended.

Would like to say a bug THANK YOU to the staff for making my brothers birthday a great evening- we all enjoyed every second!! The staff on that night were really helpful and co-operated around what I needed. The manager was great and so was the doorgirl, as well as the bouncer. The bouncer agreed to play along in a joke and give my brother some grief about coming into the club!! which was hilarious!!
It turned out to be a fantastic night and everything went according to plan!!

Once again thank you very much and thanks to all the staff that were on duty that night.

Nightmare! We were recommended this place as a good venue for a birthday guest list. Gave 2 weeks advance notice for a party on Saturday night and were told that the names on the guest list didn’t have to be submitted until the day before (Friday).

We sent the names through and got a reply that they were going to move our guest list to one of their other venues, which on further investigation turned out to be a bashment and ragga night – which is the total opposite of what we wanted.

All in all a complete mockery of a shambles, you have been warned!

I organised my party with the blagclub last weekend and had a great night. They recommended great ideas and i left it in their hands to arrange, it was so easy to get everything sorted.
For a hassle free party i defintiely recommend the Blagclub.

I went to blagclub Notting Hill Gate last Wednesday night and I have to say that the place quite surprised me. As a Notting Hill Gate local I have always found it difficult to find good options to go out in the area. However, this small and friendly club offers good drinks with reasonable prices and good music. I would definitely go back.

Great venue for live music. I went in to blagclub (Notting Hill Gate) last night to see a friend of mine play there. The other musicians were cool too. From 11pm there was a DJ so we were able to stay on afterwards. Certainly worth checking out.

I had my birthday at Blag Nott Hill in June and it was one of best birthdays I've had in a long time. The Management were flexible with the guest list and really accommodating, the bar staff were really sweet and I was given a glass of champers on the house as it was my birthday which was a really nice touch. They made me feel really special and looked after.

The music was fabby and I love how cosy Blag Nott Hill is, it's really intimate yet not too small that you can't have a damn good boogie. I do love Blag, you're bound to have a good night if you're up for a good boogie there. Thanks Blag Nott Hill for making my birthday bloody wicked!

The great thing about blagclub (Notting Hill Gate) is the cosiness of it - it just creates a wicked vibe. We started early there, and by 9:30pm the place was very busy and I could see why - it's just a lot of fun. Great party tunes that everyone can sing along to resulted in smiles all round. I'm glad I've found a place to go that leaves snobbyness at the door.

I was lucky enough to find this little gem of a place after a friend of mine recommended it. And from what I hear, blagclub (Notting Hill Gate) gets booked up every week on recommendations from past party goers alone! I was not disappointed in the least.

A wicked house party vibe, mixed music giving everyone a little piece of what they wanted to hear and an unpretentious crowd and staff. It was nice to let my hair down on my birthday and simply get taken care of. Of course, the glass of champagne bought by the manager to welcome me on the night made all the difference. C x

I had organised a massive party on guestlist for Friday night, but was bitterly disappointed by the outcome. Throughout planning there was a lot of miscommunication, and we were disappointed that the reserved area for our majority crowd was confined to a third of the club. Finally on the night, the management was really rude and disrespectful to my guests (among who was the birthday girl, who left upset!).

It's a real shame as it just proves that all this club had set out to do was just make money by overbooking. The DJ was really rude and refused to consider any kind of change of music (choosing only to play rock- it was only when we got the manager to sweet-talk her did she play something else).

It's a nice place, but shame about the management. I definitely would not go back or choose to hold another party there. Had it been an option to move my party to another venue that could hold us that same night, I would have done so in a second. I would NOT recommend Blagclub to anyone.

Be careful of blagclub as this place is lame! It's full of boring dodgy people, and why do they play those stupid movies of fish and dolphins? It makes the place too bright.
And blagclub close at 1pm! Whatever.

Oh my god, blagclub is the poorest excuse for a nightclub I have ever seen! I went for a work do and it was a cosy little place but if it wasn't for the people I was with I would have had the worst night of my life. I will never go to blagclub again. Thankfully the people I work with are tops.

Had my birthday at blagclub on a Friday night, and it was brilliant! Every single member of staff at blagclub is extremely friendly, and I will definitely be going again. Nice atmosphere, chilled out! They had arranged a large guestlist and even played the music which I had requested in advance!

Always thought blagclub was a cheesy West London wannabe bar. I was mistaken. It's neigh bad with a nice vibe and have been there a few times since, and each time I frequent, pretty nice damn people.

blagclub has friendly bar staff and all in all a general good turn out. Security could smile a bit more though eh!

Brilliant venue! Perfect spot for a get together with your buddies! i'm so tired of the West End where you have to queue for hours, pay loads to get in and spend your week's wages on a reserved table. At blagclub I got great professional assistance from the staff and the events manager, who ensured I was taken care of all night. blagclub is a great spot and top recommendation!

Had been to the Holland Park blagclub and was disappointed and decided to visit the Notting Hill blagclub for my 25th birthday party. I booked for 30+ people a month in advance to make sure I got a good spot and the events manager still managed to mess up my booking.

When I got there, there was no table with my name on and the only free spot where 2 tables. The events manager said that that was because my booking was the smallest (all along he was telling me I couldn't have more than 30 names on my guest list) so I was given the unwanted tables in the middle.

Although the staff there did everything they could to fix the situation with complimentary drinks and apologies, I was highly disappointed because I had been looking forward to that party for a whole month. I must say though, after 9:30 the atmosphere at Notting Hill blagclub was heating up and as the evening went on I forgot about it, all my friends where there, great music, everyone was having fun.

blagclub (Notting Hill Gate) although small-ish, feels like you are having a house party with all your mates. blagclub has rockin tunes, it's intimate and fun, and best of all, there's nothing to clean up.

One word to sum up this club (if you can call it that) is poor! It is more like a room with a little bar in the corner than a club. The door woman was very rude and over charged us, and she also forgot to mention there was a private party going on inside which made it even crapper eg. watching 40 year olds dancing to Robbie Williams doesn't really get you in the party mood! The drink prices were also ridiculous for such a bad venue, it is not the Ritz!

having visited Blagclub a couple of times last year for private parties I thought it would be a good idea to apply for membership - it is always nice to have easy access to a local bar.

Following internet enrolment I received several emails promising me my membership card in the post - this never materialised!

Last Friday I decided to give it a try at any rate; friends were visiting from abroad and we fancied a couple of drinks on our way home. There was no queue, but the doorman would only allow two of us (total three) in at a time. We decided to wait until we could all enter together (which was almost immediately). Up the greasy steps we encountered the next rather unwelcoming staff.

I mentioned the fact that I had not yet received my membership card and was told rather abruptly that I need to supply a SAE (no mention of this on the website or in any of the club's mails or newsletters). we then parted with 13 pounds entry fee (3 for members, 5 non-members) and a further 3 for the bags we had to leave in the cloakroom. we decided to hang on to our coats...but not for long as the manager told us in no uncertain terms that we had to check them in too, but at least he offered to waive the fee.

OK, all this before we even made it to the bar. We felt we deserved a treat and tried to order cocktails, just to be told that those were not available on Fridays and Saturdays. Admittedly, the prices for wine and beer were not as inflated as they could have been, but with the various other fees added to the total bill they worked out rather expensively for us - having been made feel so welcome we decided to leave after just one round. this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I can remember.

The venue is nothing special and in no way exclusive - won't bother with pursuing membership and no desire to go again.

Following a recommendation from a friend, I held my 30th birthday party at the Blagclub in Notting Hill. We had a guest list of 70, the rest of the room was filled with members. Most of our friends did not even know the place existed and all said they thought it was a really good venue.

It is quite cosy so the atmosphere was good as you didn't rattle around. The drinks were usual London prices which was good as we worried that a private club might only sell expensive drinks and didn't want to bankrupt our friends so close to Christmas!

The atmosphere reminded me of being at a house party, there is a log fire and couches, it could be someone's living room!

Everyone stayed til 1, and I have had many comments that I picked a really cool venue!!
