Went there in a group mainly consisting of girls as it was 2 of the girl's birthday. There was 11 girls all white and 4 black guys and 2 white guys. Yes this is a big group but we'd all been a month before and they let us in but in this case as soon as they seen us, they had made their minds up about us our skin colour.
we were refused entry with no explanation and only the girls were allowed to enter the club.... Now my older brother is a bouncer and he happened to be there with us said it was because there was too many boys in the club, just to turn around and see a few groups of men (white) being allowed access.
I've never had any problems with bouncers as they have a lot to deal with and my own sibling being a bouncer, you understand what they have to go through but I had no sympathy towards these guys as it was pure racism towards a group of guys consisting of a Primary school teacher, Bouncer and 2 electric engineers. I have never been so angry at being picked on due to my skin colour and our friends all white and chines so ashamed to have witnessed this. I would not waste my time going back to this club because it seems like its something that happens quite frequent and I'm not changing my skin colour to enter a club!
This was the first time I had been to this club and was enjoying my night until I left my friend upstairs to go downstairs to the toilet. When I tried to go back to her the bouncer wouldnt let me go back upstairs even though I explained my friend was upstairs and I had just come down a minute a go. He wouldn't even look at me never mind explain why I couldn't go back up. I ended up having to stand on my own for half a hour.
Great venue for music on a Friday night, djs r brill only downside is the aggressive bouncers! One of them actually assaulted a friend of mine (a female) for no reason and because of this will not be going back again! Tip for management would be to hire someone that doesnt feel the need to prove that they are tough by assaulting an innocent person!
I didnt think this would be as good when it became Mezz(formerly Rehab) but I was wrong. Had a wicked night here and the tunes were bangin!
