Fourth Floor Cafe
To celebrate British Food Fortnight, three chefs are moving their Michelin-starred menus from the country to the city. The 3 Stars 3 Cities Leeds event will see Kenny Atkinson working alongside Richard Walton-Allen head chef at the Fourth Floor Cafe at Harvey Nichols.
Michelin Star
Kenny Atkinson has had an amazing year as head chef at The White Room restaurant at Seaham Hall Hotel, Co Durham. It's one of England's leading country house hotels but he made it one of the top foodie destinations after winning his first Michelin star within six months of taking over. He'll be showcasing some of his signature dishes at the 3 Stars 3 Cities Leeds event with a specially created menu to celebrate the best of the Northeast.
Pride of the Northeast
Kenny was born and bred in Newcastle and is passionate about the produce of the Northeast and it was this passion which which led him to compete in the BBC Two series - The Great British Menu. Diners who attend the 3 Stars 3 Cities Leeds event are in for a really special treat because Kenny will be recreating the winning starter from the series. It's a salad of Aberdeen Angus beef, carrots, horseradish and Shetland black potato crisps.
Tasting Menu
As guest chef he'll be working with Richard Walton-Allen, the head chef of the Fourth Floor Cafe and will be taking charge of the tasting menu while Richard will be creating dishes that complement Kenny's special menu for the 3 Stars 3 Cities.
Leeds diners either enjoy a six-course tasting menu, created by Kenny and Richard, or a lunch menu created by Kenny which will run alongside Richard's a la carte menus.
Harvey Nichols
The 3 Stars 3 Cities Leeds event offers you the chance to sample Kenny's award-winning cuisine in the heart of Leeds city centre. And considering that Seaham Hall is all the way over on the Scilly Isles, this is an opportunity not to be missed. The other 3 Stars 3 Cities events take place at Harvey Nichols in Bristol, where Chris Horridge will be showing off his three-dimensional cuisine, and in London where Mark Teasdale is collaborating with Jonas Karlsson at the Knightsbridge store.
The 3 Stars 3 Cities event takes place at the Fourth Floor Cafe at Harvey Nichols, Leeds from 28th September - 4th October 2009.
Lunch menus cost £16.50 for two courses and £19.50 for three courses, while the six-course tasting menu is £55. To book call the Fourth Floor Cafe on 0113 204 8000.
