Particularly recommended are the Elemis treatments. The Elemis Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap (£65) lasts for 55 minutes and is a fantastic way to unwind. The deeply moisturising treatment is ideal whether you want to nourish tanned summer skin or cosset yourself during colder weather. Tahitian coconut and highly scented frangipani flowers are combined in a silky monoi which is massaged all over your body. You are then wrapped in a foil blanket covered with a batik (to prevent you feeling like a roast turkey) and left to relax before showering off any residue. Scented frangipani body cream is massaged in afterwards too for additional moisturising. The pregnancy massages are equally as relaxing and make an ideal gift for colleagues or family who deserve a little pampering. The Elemis Nurturing Mother To Be Massage is suitable from the first trimester and costs £70 for a treatment that lasts one hour and ten minutes. To accommodate the pregnancy, Elemis beanbag cushions are used to create a comfortable area on the floor of the treatment room and the gentle massage soothes aches and pains such as back strain whilst hand and foot massage helps to prevent any swelling too.

The Titanic Heat Experience
All of the Titanic Spa day packages include unlimited use of The Titanic Heat Experience which is housed in its own separate area and offers a series of hot and cold experiences to aid relaxation and increase circulation. Based on a traditional bathing ritual it aims to induce deep relaxation. Start with a soothing footbath or the warmth of a spell in the sauna or aromatherapy room before cooling down by rubbing crushed ice into your body. Finish by standing beneath the bucket shower for a good sluicing. Invigorating to say the least.

The Ultimate In Relaxation
Aside from the treatments, one of the most popular rooms in the carbon neutral building for anyone enjoying Titanic Spa day packages is the relaxation lounge. A giant pit at the far end has a flickering fire projected onto a screen and is filled with oversized cushions and separate chairs covered in fake fur throws so you can doze or relax back and read a few magazines. If you’re feeling more energetic, use of the gym and pool in Club Titanic (complete with a Jacuzzi) are free of charge and are an ideal way to work off a few calories before lunch in the restaurant. For lunch, you can take your pick from the buffet which has a good range of meat and vegetarian options with desserts and wine available at an additional charge. During the summer, the outside terrace area is a popular place to sit. Not only is it a suntrap but the valley behind ensures that it’s not overlooked in any way – good news when you’re sitting in a bathrobe mid-afternoon!

The Titanic Heat Experience Spa Day is available every day and costs £70 per person. The package includes use of Club Titanic including the gym, 15m salt regulated swimming pool, hydrozone, sauna and steam rooms, tea and coffee on arrival and lunch in the restaurant.

The Titanic Twilight Heat Experience costs £45 and is available 6pm-9pm every day. It includes use of the gym, 15m salt regulated swimming pool, hydrozone, sauna and steam rooms plus a glass of bubbly and canapes.
