Where
Leeds clubs
Enjoy tricks and treats this Halloween at Leeds clubs, which for All Hallow's Eve are putting on some spine-tingling entertainment. At Beaver Works there's the Halloween Carnival, or if you're more of a mosh monster head to the Brainwash Festival.
Halloween Carnival
One of the biggest events this Halloween at Leeds clubs is The Halloween Carnival at Beaver Works. Headlining is Lethal Bizzle, one of the pioneers of grime and one of the hottest new rappers around. His appearance alone ensures that tickets for this event will sell quicker than any other parties for Halloween at Leeds clubs. This underground party hosted by Leeds Urban Festival not only has some of the cream of new talent from hip hop, grime, jungle and dubstep scene, but there's also live graffiti, DJ and breakdancing competitions, a funfair, carnival food and a whole manner of Halloween hocus-pocus.
Brainwash
Another big contender for All Hallow's Eve mischief and mayhem is the annual Brainwash Festival. It takes place over the weekend of Halloween at Leeds clubs all around the city including TJ's Woodhouse Liberal Club, The Library, Brudenell Social Club, Royal Park Cellars and at the university. Names on the bill include Pulled Apart By Horses, Hot Club De Paris, Efterklang and Bad For Lazarus. The Brainwash Festival takes place from 29th October - 1st November 2009. And there's a special themed afterparty at The Faversham on Halloween.
Torture Chambers
After you've had your fill of fun at the Brainwash Festival head over to The Faversham for the Halloween Horror Ball, the official afterparty of the Brainwash Festival. The Faversham will be transformed into a haunted house with three Halloween-themed rooms for you to explore including the Gimp Room which, for the evening, will be made into a chamber of torture. As you stumble about in this creepy cavern you'll also see Hammer Horror projections, blood-soaked tiller girls and fire breathers. There's also apple bobbing, two rooms of DJs and entertainment brought to you by the Bad Sneakers who'll have plenty of tricks and treats in store.
Good Clean Fun
Even the shiny house clubs are entering into the Halloween spirit. Chilli White will have its normal Saturday night line-up but everyone will be dressed in a suitably scary fashion and in the run up to Halloween the student promoters have some spooky events planned. At The Cockpit there's a Halloween Special with rock band The Eighties Matchbox from Brighton. Tickets cost £10 and doors open at 7pm. And at Subculture it's the Idioteque Halloween party with live bands and dressing up.
Events for Halloween at Leeds clubs take place on and around 31st October 2009.
