This is my weekly report on what used to be the finest pub in and around Armley. I called in on Sunday which is one of the busier days. There was a good atmosphere amongst a group of the regulars who were laughing and joking as one would expect on a weekend. I noticed the landlord, or manager whatever his title, approach them and told them, not ask them, to keep their "noise" down because people were "eating" and shouldn't have listen to "that kind of noise". Well I was somewhat taken aback by this. If I was eating there , which I never will, I would have been more upset by the scruffy appearance of the landlord/manager who would look more at home drinking cider on a park bench.
