The ViewLeeds Review
There’s one word to sum up the Buffalo lounge - disappointing. From the grotty location to the less than desirable strippers it just seems to be a let-down. Heigh-ho, at least the drinks are cheap(ish). The VenueWalking up the dark, dingy steps to this down-market dive, in a down-market area of town, (at the end of New Briggate, nicknamed ‘kebab alley’) you could say it’s just the place for a strip club.
The interior looks far more attractive than the external appearance of the club with quite pleasant, stylish decor; however the compliments end there.
The PeopleIt takes some working out why anyone would pay to get into such a place, and the clientele attracted to this particular club are either green to the strip scene in Leeds, or they simply don’t mind spending the night in a second-rate club with second-rate dancers.
However, on the plus side, the presence of the doormen ensures that there’s no ‘funny business’, and the bar staff are always pleasant and, to the annoyance of paying customers, are better looking than those taking their clothes off.
The DrinkAs far as strip clubs go the drink isn’t as pricy as you'd expect, and to a certain extent there is something for everyone, however don’t expect anything more complex in a ‘cocktail’ than a lager and black.
The Last WordBuffalo Lounge is lacking in most areas. For a little more class in a night of erm, bird watching, and an all round better experience, venture down the Headrow to Wildcats.
